3 gravity will carry the water downhill. It is getting to look more and more like the issue we are discussing is a financial one. It will cost more to build on the S.W. corner. If that is the case we sympathize with the developers, but we don"t think we are responsible, nor do we feel we should be expected to bear the brunt of the costs by having our properties devalued, financially and aesthet- ically. If the tower cannot realistically be built along the commercial perimeters of the property, there is an alternative -~ don't build it at all! One obviously can get the same square footage of office space by going up three stories on a larger base. -The requested zoning change should be denied until the developers revert to their former plan, or come up with a satisfactory alternative commercial site for the tower. . If City Council has any plans to allcw them to dump that tower into the midst of our homes; then we request that Lancaster and Kitchener streets be zoned commercial right along with it. Office towers and single family dwellings are not compatable. If we are not allowed to enjoy our single family dwelling as everyone else in Port Coquitlam does, we don't want to live here anymore. Zone our property commercial and let us move some place where single family residential means single family residential. Whb# spun J ScdmAk
