Mrs. Margaret MacFarlane, owner of property at 2131 Anita Drive, asked Mr. Lee about the amount of parking to be provided and Mr. Lee advised there will be approximately 1.5 parking spaces per dwelling unit. Alderman Thompson asked if provision had been made for paving the lane and the City Engineer advised $600.00 has now been included in the Land Use Contract for this purpose. The Public Hearing concluded at 7:45 p.m., and the regular Council meeting then commenced. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: Thet the minutes of the reguler meeting of this Council held on January 16th, 1978, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Traboulay requested that the statement following the resolution by Aldermen Traboulay and Ranger with reference to the burning permit for Nu-West Development on their property at Cedar Drive made at the regvlar Council ‘meeting of January 16th, 1978, be amended to read: “Aldermen Traboulay and Ranger voted in‘favour of the resolution". and it was agreed that this correction would be made. CORRESPONDENCE: From J.K. Cooper Ltd., January 19th, 1978 requesting a relaxation of the Sign By-law to allow two signs to be installed at 2634 and 2636 Shaughnessy Street under the existing canopy which extends over City property. Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as requested in the letter from J.K. Cooper. Ltd., January 19th, 1978 the installation of two "under canopy" signs at 2634 and 2636 Shaughnessy Street be approved. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Thompson spoke in favour of the resolution and a short discussion ensued concerning the need for Council approval.
