Deakin, Engineering Sectutaty The minutes for the March 16, 1994 Committee meeting were considered, read and adopted. Carried ITEM I= Committee received this item for information and asked that the Project Engineer give a brief description on each choice for Councillors to review before cc uments have to be forwarded back to the GVRD. 4 ITEM IL -;~l) REVIEW OF CURRENT GARBAGE AND RECYCLING PROCEDURES Committee reviewed a report from the Deputy Engineer regarding current procedures for garbage/recycling pickup. CounciUor Gates would like to see an ad placed in the paper regarding our existing bylaw which states a limit of three cans but to encourage more recycling/compostiug and minimum garbage disposal. Possibly noting that savings derived from less weight in garbage could be used towards a Spring and Fall Clean Up. Deputy Engineer to bring draft ad back to Committee. N 'R '% GVWD PUBLIC INFORMATION MEEIING ON SECONDARY WATER TREA~v WIg ITEM IH: WIN Q( 1$ II M , OTHER BUSINESS a) Pitt River Boat Club - Dvke Access Ill Deputy Engineer explained that this item was to inform Committee that the Pitt River Road Boat Club wished to enter their property from the Dyke via Prairie/Cedar/Devon to haul fill for upgrading their property. Councillor Gates suggested that he would prefer if they didn't use Devon since the trucks viould just chew up what is left of the road, but rather go back down the other side of the dyke and back onto Cedar. Deputy Engineer explained that he would give these options to the Boat Club and if they still preferred Devon for exiting that they would be responsible for repaving the road after they finished hauling. Deputy Engineer also noted that they have placed a $ 5,000 bond each for road maintenance and dyke maintenance.
