idly for five. minutes, add the sugar

Mix and sift the corn-meal, flour
and ‘salt and - -bnking powder, ‘Add’ the
milk gradually, then the well-beatén
egg, and melted fat, Fill greased
muffin tins one-fourth :full, ‘put a teo-

spoon of jelly with ‘more batter and
bake in hot oven.
