NOTICE It is reported that certain IWA Coast members who have either left one forest firm to work for another or have left the industry altogether after June 15, have not received the retroactive pay due to them as a result of the Coast contract settlement. Provided a member left after June 15, he is entitled to retroactive pay from his old employer and should make the necessary application for the money owed to him. TRUDEAU PLANNING The government will bring down a White Paper on the establishment of a wage-price _ review board early in the new Parliamentary session. Prime Minister Trudeau said he planned to meet in- dustry and labor representa- tives before actually creatin the board. J Mr. Trudeau, speaking at a press conference, refused to specify precisely what his government’s wage “guide- "GUIDE LINES" FOR LABOUR lines” were, while agreeing that definite figures were al- ways in mind. He said some wage in- creases of-more than 6 or 7 per cent might be warranted if general industry levels were higher, or if boosts were justified by productivity. But he added that the economy generally wasn’t having that much of a productivity in- crease, and general wage boosts at that level would be “inflationary.” ESQUIRE MEN’S WEAR (Graham Mowatt) : Complete Stock of Work and Dress Clothing | STORE WITH THE POPULAR BRANDS” BRITISH COLUMBIA THE WESTERN CANADIAN LUMBER WORKER =U 07! 01S 1: CE © ee , ea capacity of 450 tons of -pulp.
