Le but de I'Association historique
francophone de Victoria est de faire
connaitre la contribution des
francophones dans le développement
de la Colombie-Britannique. Cette
connaissance est véhiculée par le
truchement des livres d'histoire, des
plaques commémoratives et des
archives. Un livre important d'histoire
fut publié en 1987 et sa version
anglaise en 1991; un troisiéme livre
sur la vie d'un missionnaire
francophone parut en 1992 et, la
méme année, un ouvrage sur les
découvertes et réalisations en C.-B.
fut publié. En 1997, on publia un livre
sur l'histoire de la paroisse francaise
de Victoria a l'occasion de son 40e
anniversaire de fondation.

The purpose of the Association
historique francophone de Victoria is
to inform the public of Francophone
contributions in the development of
British Columbia. This is achieved by
books on history, commemorative
plaques and archives. An important
history book was published in French
in 1987 and its English version in
1991; a third book on the life of a
Francophone missionary appeared in
1992. The same year, another book
on discoveries and projects in B.C.
came off the press. In 1997, a book
was published on the history of the
Francophone church in Victoria
during the year of its 40th
anniversary of its foundation.
