Eng., FILE: PWC City Engineer SUBJECT: Impact of Growth on Transportation Network in Port Coquitlam (Public Works/Traffic Committee Meeting of January 18, 1994) RECOMMENDATIONS: 1) That the Engineering Department be directed to continue work in developing the medium and long range transportation strategy. That the Planning Department be directed to reactivate projects placed on hold pending submission of this report and continue to process development applications in accordance with the criteria and policies in the Official Community Plan. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: The Public Works/Traffic Committee reviewed a report from the City Engineer and Director of Planning regarding the impact of growth onto the Transportation Network in Port Coquitlam. The Committee supports in general the contents and recommendations in the report provided that there is a commitment to complete the transportation projects which support the proposed development.
