RE: Haney Main No. 3 - Stage Il (Pitt River Crossing)

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT the Greater Vancouver Regional District and Terra Lotic Resources be allowed to use a
"scare cannon" for a six month period from early March to the end of August 1993, to promote
the recovery of the marsh area on the foreshore of the Pitt River immediately north of the Pitt
River Bridge.

Attached is a letter from Mr. T.R. Jervis, P.Eng., Supervisor, Water Capital Works and
Construction of the GVRD, explaining the restoration program.

This program requires Council approval as i. contravenes the City’s noise control bylaw.
