Moved by Alderman Farnworth: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the City of Port Coquitlam urge the Provincial Government to introduce legislation at the earliest possible opportunity to require the consent of the Municipality prior to the entering into of any lease for residential tenancy greater than three years. Carried. From the Union of British Columbia Municipalities, December 13th, 1989 regarding Sharing Traffic Fine Revenues with Policing Jurisdictions. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Gates: Whereas the imposition of a new fine structure for moving traffic violations under the Motor Vehicle Act in the province will resuit in a significant increase in revenue to the Provincial Government. It is the City of Port Coquitlam's position that since the majority of these moving traffic violations will be issued in the municipalities throughout the province that the municipalities should be considered for a share in the revenue derived ; from the imposition of the new fines; . And That the City of Port Coquitlam approach the Ministers of Municipal Affairs, Recreation and Culture, Finance and Corporate Relations and Solicitor General to express this view. Carried. From the City Engineer, January 4th, 1990 regarding Discharge cf No Building Covenant~Phase 1 Westview Heights. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: THAT the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute individual or collective forms of Discharge of a No Building Covenant (No. AB210195) registered against all 111 lots of the first phase of the Westview Heights Subdivision provided that the City Engineer certifies that the relevant ; conditions of the Master Developer's Agreement have been satisfied.
