- accommodation is within easy reach of our Recreation Centre in the
Municipalities of Coquitlam, Port Moody, Port Coquitlam and Maple Ridge.
For example, within this area there are three new Best Western Motor
Horels in additien to others. _

The. Port Coquitlam Figure Skating Club has a mewbership consisting of many
“dedicated people who are willing to work. This is evident as a result of
the two successful Fraser Valley Zone Championships that we have had the
pleasure of hosting. I might further point out that many of our members
‘are on the standing organizing committee of the Fraser Valley Summer-Free~
skate Competition, traditionally held on the Labour Day Weekend, and as

of late had many workers at the recent 1982 North Shore International

Competition.

Unfortunately, due to circumstances within our City we lose our ice earlier
than most clubs. Consequently, the month of March is an extremely busy

ene with our various Ice Sports winding down their season. As a result it
might be extremely difficult for us to obtain ice in March to host this
championship. We therefore request that if B.C. Section favour us with

this competition that it be held within the last two weeks of February 1984.

We of the Port Coquitiam Figure Skating Club know that we can host a
successful B.C. Section Precision Championship and therefore solicit your

consideration.
