7th, 1978 and March 15th, 1978, being Statements of Accounts Payable in
the amount of $184,900.31, $251,148.34 and $638,045.69 respectively, be
approved.

tenders by the City recommend the award of a contract.

That as recommended by the Senior Citizen Addition Building Committee,
March 15th, 1978 the required Client-Architect Agreement be approved
and that the Architect be authorized to call tenders for the Senior
Citizen Centre Addition Project and upon receipt of the tenders by the

City recommend the award of a contract.

Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution

Alderman Thompson asked for clarification of the procedure regarding
tenders and whether Council's approval would be required before the
contract was let. The City Engineer advised tenders would be called and
upon receipt of the tenders by the City the Committee would consider the
tenders received and recommend that Council award a contract; however,
the actual award of the contract was at the Councils discretion.

A general discussion then ensued and the City Engineer advised the

working drawings are now available in the City Hall for Council to see.

Council time to look at the working drawings;

AND THAT a set of drawings be posted at the Senior Citizens Centre.
