THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM BYLAW NO. 2412 A Bylaw to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Fire Prevention Bylaw, 1968, No. 902". The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in a open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. Section 4 and Section 4A of the "City of Port Coquitlam Fire Prevention Bylaw, 1968, No. 902" are repealed and the following is substituted as ; Section 4: "4.(a) No person shall at any time light, ignite, start, or knowingly permit, allow or cause to be lighted, ignited, or started, any outdoor fire of any kind whatsoever. (b} Clause (a) of this Section does not apply in residential zones to small confined fires used for cooking of food in grills and barbecues and such use on private property, without permit, is herewith authorized accordingly.” 2. Clause (a) of Section 6 is repealed and the following substituted therefor: : " (a) Every person who sets out, starts, or kindles any outdoor fire, | or fails to extinguish any outdoor fires set out, started, or . kindled at any time of year shall be responsible for such fire, and he shall be liable for all expenses incurred by the City i controlling and extinguishing such fire and any other fire originating from such fire and he shall also be liable on summary convicticn for the wages of all the persons employed in : controlling such fire, including wages for firemen so employed.” : 3. Subclause (iii) of Clause (b) of Section 6 of the Bylaw is repealed. 4. Section 7 of the Bylaw is repealed. 5. Section 8 of the Bylaw is repealed. Bes a 6. This Bylaw may be cited for all purposes as the "City of Port Coquitlam Fire Prevention Bylaw, 1968, No. 902, Amendment Bylaw, 1989, No. 2412”.
