“Total damages -$10,950. . Approximately $10,000 damage to a garage workshop and

its contents when fire started in a pile of oily rags by spontaneous combustion.
Approximately $150. to cupboards in a kitchen when fire occurred in a garbage
container stored under the kitchen sink. Approximately $800 damage to a kitchen
caused when a cooking pot on the stove caught fire. Answered a number of complaints
for back yard burning and burning in the agriculture areas. Many people feel the
burning week is too late in the year. Possibly we should divorce burning week and
clean up week so that if we have an early spring we could advance burning week with

a shorter notice to the public.

32 inhalator calls. 23 home emergencies, consisting of heart attacks, asthmatic
attacks, diabetic shock, bronchial infection, pleurisy, reaction from medication
and falls causing injuries. One youth treated for injury sustained while playing
hockey. .3 motor vehicle accidents and two. overdoses.
