gram began Jan. 1, 1987
with the first baby of the
New Year born at Mills
Memorial Hospital, said
representative of the
Welcome Wagon, Kathie
Morgan.

‘Each new mother in
1987 will be presented
with a package of gifts
during her stay ‘in the
hospital, said Morgan.
The administration and

nursing staff of ‘Mills
Memorial Hospital have
shown great support and
interest towards the pro-
gram, noted Morgan.
Packages will be prepared
three times a week by
Welcome Wagon repre-
sentatives Kathie Morgan
and Alma Chenail along
with a visit to the. new
mothers in the hospital.

Police
report

‘On Thursday, Jan. | the
Terrace RCMP received a
call from a Thornhill resi-

1° dent. Police reported it

appeared that an in-
dividual was lost and in
distress somewhere on
Copper Mountain.

With the services of an
Okanagan Helicopter, one
male dressed in light-
weight clothing was found
a short time later lying in
the fetal position suffering
from advanced hypother-
mia.

The male was trans-
ported to Mills Memorial
Hospital for treatment.
