Mrs, Cruzelle accepted the posi- tion of camp chairman for the forthcoming season, Captain Mrs. Marge Smith ex: tended a vote of thanks to L.A. members for supplying and serv- ing refreshments following the Thinking Day service on February 20, Mrs. Watson wag presented with a serving dish in recognition of her efforts in Guiding during past years, It was decided that all future meetings will be held during the evening and the next meeting is scheduled for March 30. The meeting concluded with luncheon served by Mrs, Kerr. O -* OQ Parents and friends of the Kit- sumkalum Guides and Brownies at- Ajtended a Thinking Day rally on Wednesday night, February 28, in Clarence Michiel auditorium. A display of handiwork by the {| girls was featured. Later in the sjevening, Alexandra Clay, a guide from second Kitsumkalum Com- Pany, gave a resume of the mean- ing of Thinking Day. Others ex- plained how this Day is observed in many countries. At the end of the evening, com- missioner Mrs. D, Parmenter, ac- cepted donations for the World Friendship Fund. Third Brownie pack, and Brown Owl Mrs. Groene- dyk, worked hard doing all kinds of jobs ta make extra money -for this fund, . Mrs. L. Clay, president of the Kitsumkalum Guide Association Terrace Air Cadets To Tour Celgar On Saturday, March 5, the Ter- race Air Cadets will ‘once more be hosted by the Cellulose Co. of Prince Rupert. A bus, provided courtesy Ter- race Lions Club, will meet the boys at 10:30 a.m. and take them to Prince Rupert. A tour of Celgar’s plant will commence at 1 p.m. and will last two hours. The 40 boys should be home about six p.m. Accompanying the squadron will be commanding officer K. F. Van Herd, and possibly the adjutant, Mr. Fred Stoba. BROWNIES GUIDES RANGERS introduced the different packs and companies to the audience. The program opened with a par- ade led by the Guide calor party. This was followed by a program comprised of recitations, folk dances and semaphore signals. Flag games, compass games, and knot tying demonstrations were put on by the various groups of Guides and Brownies, under the supervision of their respective leaders. The program ended with the Brownies closing song and the Guide Taps.
