A meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2530 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Saturday, January 9th, 1993, at 8:30 a.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H. Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Treaswrer/Deputy Administrator, J.G.S. Maitland, City Engineer IR. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, Director of Parks & Recreation K.J. Taylor, Director of Building Permits and Inspections J. Shardlow, Fire Chief J. Baillie, Deputy Fire Chief G. Routley, and Director of Personnel V. van Meel. BUDGET DISCUSSIONS: Department Heads outlined services provided and costs; 1992 performances and major accomplishments; proposed 1993 Capital requests; requests for additional funding; and other relevant information. The meeting broke for coffee from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and for lunch at 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m. From the Director of Planning, December 18th, 1992 regarding Chamber of Commerce Fee for Service. Moved by Councillor Gordon: Seconded by Councillor Wright: That the City agree to give $8,031.00 for services to support tourism promotion efforts of the Chamber of Commerce during 1993. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution: Moved by Councillor Keryluk: Seconded by Councillor Gordon: That the recommendation from the Director of Planning dated December 18th, 1992 regarding the City agreeing to give $8,031.00 for services to support tourism promotion efforts of the Chamber of Commerce during 1993 be deferred pending further information.
