Dear Sir: JAN 17 1983

I would like you people to see what can be done about the building I
am trying to build at 3047 and 3049 York Street as there is going to
be a lot of people who paid their licence in your Municipality that
have to be look after because the way it stands now we just have
electricity and plumbing and no building. I would like to appear’
before Council because there is a lot that maybe we can come to some
agreement as to what to be done. I phoned the building department and
asked about a metal roof and the man in the building department knows
this building better than I do and he looked it up in the hook, came
back to the phone and said it was 0.K. as long as it was over .3
millimeter thick. They waited until I had it all installed and then
they came and said it was no good. Now as elected people to look after
our affairs I would like to see what can be done as we have a place
that is closed down for four months and you will want your taxes for
this property and I can not use it as it is of no use to me. I would
like to talk to your licence department sometime as I figure some of
the people I have had transactions with have not been up to what they
should be as on the account of them and the building department I
have not got the proper foundation under the building and then they
came along and made it weaker instead of leaving it the way it was
which I figure was a lot better than the one that I done on the
building next door. As I put everything in writing how about if you
People do the same I am still waiting for an answer on the other
visit I had to your hall about the ditch in front, in fact I still
haven't even heard what you have cleared on this ditch.

So remember that as a tax payer and somebody that wants to build a
building that would be real cheap to heat I am trying to make it as
good as I can I am putting extra insulation. I want to build the
best I can and if I ask your department's questions I want. to have
honest answers, and I do want answers from you people so I don't
waste my time and yours. Please do your best to get this place so

we can rent it so we can afford high taxes.
