Saath tet ‘ ou aad Ubea tie rt i TO: Members of Council September 26th, 1974 SEP 30 1974 : FROM: Mayor J.M. Campbell LI would suggest that at this time we do not ask our senior staff for public dis- closures. The actual Act does not allow us to disclose to the public eicher postively or negatively any stocks they own or any Company they belong to. I most certainly believe that it is our duty to check out any rumour that comes to us about the busi- ness of our senior staff and will expect to do this as long as we are in office. The only, advantage to. having then’ disclose would be if it could be proved that they had “involvement ina Company and had not disclosed the fact they could be charged. Of course, in this instance, they would be immediately discharged from the City anyhow and I wonder if the extra trouble would be worth the effort. It is up to the Council to make this effort but I do believe that it is something that is not needed ~ at least at this time.
