Get to work, players told WASHINGTON (AP) — The National Football League’s grievance com- mittee ruled Thursday that New England offensive linemen John Hannah and Leon Gray have binding, le- gal contracts and said they should report by next Tuesday or be placed on the retired list. The piayer-club relations committee also ordered the Patriots not to assess fiines against the players for leaving the team before the regular season began. Hannah claimed he was promised 10 per cent over his regular-season salary, estimated at $70,000, to play in preseason games. Grey contended he had been romised renegotiation of is contract if he ever became an all-pro. Both were all-pro players last year, and both came away from the Pro Bowl in Seattle believing they were underpaid in relation to the salaries received by other all-star offensive linemen. The grievance was filed by the NFL Management Council,, the owners’ bargaining arm, on behalf of the Patriots. points. funny Five © Gordon & Anderson THE TV GUIDE bring you | ALL LISTINGS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE THE HERALD, Friday, September 30, 1977, PAGE 7 HARDWARE STORES | many eee lee inn Line | lew | Saturday,October 1 KING {NBC} 3 CFTK - (CBC) 4 im Sp.m. to midnight} 9 KCTS (PBS) KIRO- (cB) 7 | 8. 9 10. ine wel) os - . 5 This Is the NFL This Is the NFL Space 1999 Space 1999 Space 1999 Space 1999 Red Fisher Show Red Fisher Show MeGowan and Co.
