als , Verdi y 4 K 4 NeAMeT eT 4 2 Mh jeabett fhe igese, Vik SEMAN Seed 4 if Lite tee THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDOM Mayor and Councillors DATE: Ooteber 22, 1992 Susan Rauh City Clerk “Serial Killer Board Game ~ First Edition” (Protective Services Committee Meeting ~ October 21, 1992) RECOMMENDATION: THAT Council adopt the following resolution gent. to the City by the District of Burnaby: / "THAT WHEREAS there has been created and offered for sale a ‘Serial Killer Board Game ~ First Edition’; ; WHEREAS the distribution and sale of such a game is not in the public interest; WHEREAS the Municipality hae no authority to prevent the distribution and sale of this game; WHEREAS federai authorities appear unable at this time to prevent the distribution and sale of this game despite requests to do so; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT His Worship Mayor Traboulay request the provinical government to use its authority to stop the distribution and sale of this game; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a copy of this resolution be sent to Members of Parliament Joy Langan and Ian Waddell and to Mike Farnworth, Member of the Legislative Assembly and to the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.” BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: As directed by Council at its meeting of October 19th, 1992, the Protective Services Committee considered the attached resolution from the District of Burnaby and is recommending its adoption by Council.
