His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C, Farnworth, M.D. - Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R, Wright in attendance. : , Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer J.G, Maitland, Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown and Recording Secretary D. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor L.M, Traboulay advised the following two proposed Bylaws to amend the "City of Port Coquitiam Zoning Bylaw, 1979, No. 165}! would now be considered: BL/01/86/08/11 01 Bylaw No. 2194: To rezone Lot 1, District Lots 232 and 340, Group One, Plan 72143, New Westminster District, from RS~1 (Singte Family Residential) to P-1 (Civic Institultional). The property is located west of Pitt River Road at the west end of Saskatchewan Avenue and the rezoning will permit the construction of a Water System Pump Station on the property. No one was present to speak on the proposed rezoning. BL/02/86/08/11/04 Bylaw No. 2196: To rezone Lot 446, District Lot 466, Group One, Plan 58061, New Westminster District, and the portion of road shown closed on the plan attached to and made part of the "Imperial Avenue Road Exchange Bylaw, 1986, No. 2195" from RS-1 (Single Family Residential) to RT~1 (Two Family Residential). The property Is addressed as 2815 Commonwealth Street and is located at the Northwest corner of Imperial Avenue and Commonwealth Street and the rezoning will permit the construction of a two-family dwelling on the property. A petition was received from property owners on Commonwealth Street expressing their opposition to the proposed duplex zoning and expressed concern regarding large trucks and vans gotng through a residential street. The following peopte were present and expressed thelr views on the proposed rezoning. Anne Shobe, 2187 Commonweal! th Street, expressed concern regarding the traffic on Commonwealth Street travelling to Riteway Rental.
