on one of their projects as expressed by one of the officials at
the Greater Vancouver Housing Corporation.

I asked the President of DELTA PACIFIC LANDSCAPING LTD. about the tender
price and he responded that his firm is very efficient and that they
will be "...more or less working for wages.".

I have the following concerns regarding this tender:

i. Why were the required tender documents not submitted such
as the Bid Bond, Surety, ete.? Could they have been had?
Was there not enough time?

Can the firm be flexible and responsive to normal stops and
starts on a job of this sort or the normal give and take
between designer and contractor with such a low price?

How will the firm respond to deficiencies on ‘sO tight a budget?

I believe more supervision will be required.
The Letter of credit is very short lived. .

DINESEN LANDSCAPING & NURSURIES LTD. arid HOLLAND LANDSCAPERS LTD. sub-
mitted all.the documentation required indicating experience and depth
in- the construction community. Both are well known to me and are
definitely capable of. performing the work. © They have shown. the ability
to be flexible on the job site and are used to designer/contractor

give and take. These firms are not likely to require extra supervision.

Given the above, I recommend that DINESEN LANDSCAPING AND NURSERIES LTD.
be awarded the contract. ;
