~ CONFIDENTIAL Oh ere POLICING REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF | APRIL TO THE MAYOR OF PORT COQUITLAM Attached is the monthly Summary from Bob SLOCOMBE, Co- ordinator of Community Resources. Criminal cases for the first four months of 1981 show an increase of 6.9% over the corresponding period of 1980. This is well within acceptable limits, and below the lower mainland average. These are short term statistics and therefore nut a great deal should be read into them, as far as trends are concerned. There is a Significant drop in cases of theft under $200. The end of the CUPE strike coincided with ourconversioa to a 12~hour "Watch" system of deploying our human resources. Personnel are generally satisfied with the new 12-hour shift system.
