MAYOR AND COUNCIL LEZSURS ACTIViTinS COMMITTES ITEM I: RENTAL POLICY The Leisure Activities Committee has discussed the present policy (see attached) on rental categories and have mace a slight change in the "charges waived" category as outlined below. . A. CHARGES WAIVED: Mon fund raising and non profit organizations and local chapters. This category will essentially cover local community sponsored programs where there is no admission charge for such things as award nights, seminars, tectures, large meetings and established annual community events or wnere groups are putting on a fund-raising function for a recognized charity. The annual community events are as follows: 1. May Day; 2. Kinsmen July lst; 3. Triple A Winter Carnival. There will be a two day limit for these annual events. B. SUBSIDIZED RENTAL CHARGE: Non profit and non fund raising organizations will be charged the appropriate rental charge where there is an admission cnarge to cover operating cost. This category will cover such activities as dances, banquets, art shows, music festivals, etc, C. STRAIGHT RENTAL CHARGE: Local community club programs for fund raising purposes, 2.e. dances, art shows, banquets etc. : D. COMMERCIAL RENTAL CHARGE: Professional entertainers and outside commercial organizations.
