The 1976 Inaugural Ceremonies of the Municipal Council of The
Corporation of the city of Port Coquitlam were held at the Hyde Creek
Recreation Centre, 1379 Laurier Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on January
4th, 1976 at 2:30 p.m.

His Worship: Mayor J.M. Campbell and Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R.
Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson and L.M. Traboulay in
attendance.

Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock,

City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer V.G. Borch,P.Eng., City Building

Inspector N. Chernoff, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, Recreation Director
Janna Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.Ulmer, Parks Super-
intendent W. Kim, City Planning Officer Lanscn Lee and Mrs. M.K.. Warwick.

Judge F.C. Giles to receive the required Statutory Declarations and
administer the Oath of Allegiance to:

thus enabling them to serve as Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam upon commencement of their terms cf office.
Judge Giles then received the Statutory Declarations of and administered
the Oath of Allegiance to:

William Mayhew Johnstone School Trustee

Eunice Yvonne Parker - School Trustee

Margaret Morrison Smith School Trustee.

His Worship the Mayor thanked Judge Giles for his attendance and guests & visitors

then welcomed the various guests and visitors present;Mr. Robert Wenman,
M.P., Coquitlam Mayor Jim Tonn, Port Mondy Mayor-elect Norm Patterson, and
White Rock Mayor Don MacDonald, who were all in attendance with their
wives. Also introduced were School Trustees Mrs. G. Shute, Dr. M. Coles,

Mrs. D. Coutts; and R.C.M.P. Inspector M.A. Young and his wife.
