Mr. Lee stated if these signs were enforced by the R.C.M.P. through traffic would not use the lane; only the residents with access off the lane. Alderman Ranger suggested that speed limit signs also be posted. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That a "No Left Turn" sign be posted on Elinor Crescent adjacent to the south end of the lane behind Western Drive, and a "No Right Turn" sign be posted on the south end of the lane at Elinor Crescent; AND THAT appropriate lane speed limit signs be posted in the lane, Carried. Alderman Wright voted against the resolution. From the Public Works Committee, October 24th, 1979 advising that investigation had been carried out on Council's request for consideration of the closure of access to the Huntington Rubber Mill and recommending that no action be taken. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, October 24th, 1979 no action be taken to close the access to the Huntington Rubber Mill. Carried. From the Public Works Committee, October 24th, 1979 recommending that the City's step-van and dump truck purchased last year be converted to propane for a test period at a cost of $400.00 each and that the cost of conversion be taken from the Energy Conservation Fund. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, October 24th, 1979 the City's step-van and dump truck purchased last year be converted to propane for a test period; AND THAT the cost of $400.00 per vehicle be taken from the Energy Conservation Fund.
