PROPERTY AT 1820 KINGSWAY AVENUE, PORT COQUITLAM (Public Works Committee Meeting of January 19, 1993) RECOMMENDATION: That Council approve the installaticn of "no parking anytime" signs on the south side of Kingsway Avenue from eight metres west to eight metres east of the entrance to 1820 Kingsway Avenue. BACKGROUND & COMMENTS: Attached is a letter dated November 20, 1992 from Rogers Cable T.V. Ltd. requesting that parking be eliminated from the south side of Kingsway in front of 1820 Kingsway Avenue. There have been numerous accidents at this location due to parked cars restricting the vision of drivers exiting the Rogers Cable T.V. parking lot onto Kingsway Avenue. At present, the curb is painted yellow for a distance of five metres on either side of the entrance to 1820 Kingsway Avenue. : It is recommended that parking be prohibited for a distance of eight metres either side of the driveway rather than five metres on either side of the driveway to help improve the safety at this access point.
