Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Talbot: That Council approve the expenditure of $11,000 for dredging of the Cedar Ditch between the Cedar Storm Pump Station and the culverts at Victorla Drive. That $11,000 be allocated from the Future Capital Works Reserve for this purpose. Carried From the City Engineer. April 30, 1992 regarding Davies/Hastings Traffic Improvements. Mayor Traboulay invited comments regarding these improvements from the Public at Large: Mr. R. Marino, 2593 Davies requested definition of “collector road” and would like Davies Street to be “local traffic only”. Mr. A. Briggs, 2731 Davies asked for definition to be explained further, and would also like Davies Street be designated “local traffic only". Mr. Babich, 2637 Davies asked for definition of “collector road" to be further defined, and commented that he expects Council to be taking action. Mrs, S. Bork, 2637 Davies expressed concern that someone would be hurt or killed if action was not taken quickly. Moved by Alderman Talbot: Seconded by Alderman Thompson: That Council defer any decisions on traffic improvements in the Davies/Hastings area until after the transportation consultant subnits a report on this matter. Carried From the City Engineer, April 30, 1992 regarding the Kingsway PRV Station ~ Beedie Subdivision. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Talbot: | That Council approve the installation of a Water Pressure Reducing Valve Station in Kingsway east of the Mary Hill Bypass to be constructed by the Beedie Group to the City's requirements at a cost of $73,980 (including GST).
