His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell of this City. has instructed that I
“request you to attend the regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the
Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam to be held on October 17th, 1977,

at 7:30 p.m.

. Although there is no particular subject that the Council wishes to
discuss with you, we are sure that a general discussion on policing in the
City will ensue. .

One matter we could perhaps mention, is that at the Council meeting
of October 3rd, 1977 some concern was expressed as to various groups soliciting
for funds in the City, and the support given by the R.C.M.P. to our By~—law
Enforcement Officers in this regard. Perhaps you would want to review the
circumstances surrounding an incident that occurred outside the Port Coquitlam
Liquor Store during the afternoon of Friday, September 30th, 1977.
