Alderman Mabbett's suggestion that as the lots were very deep, they should be replotted for better land use; 3. his suggestion that a plan be prepared for increasing the number of lots by reducing some frontages and by so doivpg the application would be re- quired to be held in abeyance until appropriate revisions had been made to the Zoning By-law; however, the Approving Officer had misinterpreted this as meaning that the Council would approve lots having 41' frontages. It was generally agreed that his negative vote on that resolution be recorded; however, Alderman Laking pointed out that these items were referred to the Approving Officer, and not to the Planning & Zoning Comittee, as was SOT te oat ge coe rene ie a Alderman Ranger's understanding, Acting-Mayor Alderman Mabbett referred to a memorandum dated May 12th, 1976 from the City Clerk setting forth his interpretation of the Council's intent with respect to the resolution mentioned above, and it was noted therein that the City Clerk felt the resolution accurately reflected the proceedings at the May 10th, 1976 meeting. Alderman Ranger stated that although it was not recorded in the minutes, he had raised the further question of the future opening of Taylor Street and Warwick Avenue to adjacent property, and Alderman Traboulay advised it was intended to have this reviewed by the Public Works Committee. Alderman Ranger stated he felt the developer should be notified of the Council's actions this evening, and Acting-Mayor Alderman Mabbett agreed since his application will now be deferred for two weeks. CORRESPONDENCE & REPORTS FOR INFORMATION: | Apr/76 Report- From the Fire Chief, being the April, 1976 report of the Fire ‘Fire Dept. Department. Alderman Traboulay inquired as to the progress on construction of the new North Side Fire Hall, and the Fire Chief advised that it is now near completion. Acting-Mayor Alderman Mabbett suggested that a report should be prepared either by the City Engineer or the Building Inspector thereon for submission to Council in two weeks, Acting~Mayor Alderman Mabbett referred to the recent boat fire at the manufacturing plant on Langan Avenue which caused damage in the amount of approximately $120,000.00 and {inquired whether the building was provided with a sprinkler system. The Fire Chief advised that it waa not, and that such a system
