Carried Item No. 2 McLean Park Discussed aspect of erecting ience around the areas that include the chsngerooms and the covered bleachers. Also discussed parking in front of washrooms and the need to put cement blocks in front to prevent cars from getting too close. Recommendation: To get a cost estimate on the fencing. Carried Item No. 3 Ball Tournaments — Special Occasion Licenses The Recreation Manager's report was discussed. Recommendation: That the proposed special occasion licenses be taken forth to Council for approval . These requests are reviewed by the Parks & Reczeation Committee and City Council. Discussion: Each of the leagues requesting permission to hold beer gardens this year, have received approval from City Council in previous years. ln addition to obtaining appzoval from the municipal authority, each applicant must reer ive clearance and approval from the R.C.M.P. & Conclusion/Summary: Several requests for special occasion licenses for ball t urnaments have been received at the Parks & Recreation office. Each of the requests received this year have been approved in previous years.
