Re: Request for Delegation to Council

The Burke Mountain Naturalists would like to make a brief presentation to Port
Coquitam Council at its meeting on March 23, 1992, in order to seck Port Coquitlara's
support for our request to the Province that they include the Burke Mountain, Widgeon
Valley and Pitt Lake areas in a park study area, A provincial announcement on which
areas will undergo study i4 expected shortly.

We would like to give a brief overview of the issues and show some slides of the areas
under discussion. I anticipate that 15 -20 minutes would be adequate.

We would also like to present Council with a copy of our report on these areas entitled
“Our Backyard Wilderness". Attached please find a copy of the executive summary

from this report.
