Mr. John Milis, B.C. Transit will be In attendance on Monday,
July 21st, 1986 to discuss the following:

2.8 Reduced Service on Lougheed Garridor _ .
The #151, 152, 154 and #155 routes provide a conbized 3 to 4 minutes
peak pericd service connecting Loughaed Mall, with downtown Vancouver.

Recent passenger counts have indicated thet since the start up of
SkyTrain. passenger ‘volumes on the Lougheed corridor have declined by
approximately 156 during the peak period. ‘The reduced ridership can be
attributed to the large increases in ridarahip travelling from Lougheed
Mall to New Westminster Station. .

it ida proposed that a total of 7 trips be eliminated on the Lougheed
corridor, thereby bringing service levels in line with current
vidership. Figure 2.4 {splays the effect of the sroposad. service
change on the average passenger load per bua.

The reduced service will save 1800 hours for the balance of the fiscal
year and 4375 hours on an annual basis. n
