Brown Director of Community Planning SUBJECT: Industrial Signags Programme RECOMMENDATION: That City Councii authorise the Economic Development Committee to proceed with the industrial signage programme; including soliciting tinancial support for the signs from businesse@ focated in the Mary Hil! Industrial Area and the provincial Ministry of Industry and Smali Business. And that City Council authorise the Economic Development Committee to expend up to $10,000 in carrying out this programme. BACKGROUND: The industrial identification signage programme is the major project of the Economic Development Committee. This signage is viewed as being the most important action that can be taken now that Mary HiIl! Bypass is open. This project has been selected due to the visidility factor. Company Selection carrying out preliminary work for the signage the Planning Department visited sign manufacturing in Port Coquitlam. The only firm having worked in industrial and direction signs is Imperial Signs. In programme, companies the area of This firm's experience in the field of industrial and direction signs includes Annacis Island.
