The Park Committee feels it is an appropriate time to meet with Member Councils because of: @ some provincial policy changes on park funding. e the number of sites where acquisition is complete and the number of sites which are now receiving some development for public use. the need to establish clear programs and priorities for the next five to ten years. It is suggested that such meetings could be scheduled between May Sth and mid June. Some members of the Park Committee have suggested councils may wish to include staff and Parks and Recreation Commission members. Estimated time for presentation and questions is 1-1 hours. Parks staff will be preparing summary information on the Regional Parks program and finances along with other graphic material. If you are interested in convening such a meeting I request the earliest possible notice so as to obtain the best fit of meeting dates. I also suggest that if Council has particular questions they wish answered, to address these to Mr. Hankin, Parks Administrator along with the proposed meeting date. Yours truly, Loot CofE Mayor D.
