After all I have read Broomhall’s and your posi- _ tion that bait is just too pro- ductive and question the eth- “ ics of.using it? In. early May, I myself was fly fishing a minnow "pattern on the Lakelse River ' with a friend. It was great! Between the two of us we landed and released over 50 trout in about four hours. _ Thave never experienced . this kind of success, even. with bait. One could argue that fly fishing is too productive. Should we be consider- ing restrictions in. the way this method of fishing is conducted? | Why not ban the use of sinking tip lines? As you stated, “Sport ‘fishing implies a reasonable challenge”. What is a reasonable challenge? ~ Where do we draw the line? Who decides this? sockeye? ' Should ‘we be consider- ~ ing banning fly fishing for them? .
