That the Laurier & Devon Watermains be constructed in 1992 and the Burns Road watermain be designed in 1992 and tendered for construction in 1993 (subject to 1993 budget approval). That $68,163 be allocated from the 1992 Capital Water Utility Budget for this purpose. The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Deputy City Engineer dated March 13, 1992 regarding the appointment of Consulting Engineers for the Laurier/Devon/Bums Watermain Projects. | It is proposed to design and construct the watermains on Devon between Prairie and Lincoln, and on Laurier between St. Anne and Oxford, plus design the Burns Road Watermain between Dominion and Prairie in 1992. The Laurier and Devon Watermain will be constructed in 1992, and the Burns Road is to be constructed in 1993 (subject to funding). The City received four tenders for the Consulting Engineering work ranging in price from $68,163 to $95,370. The lowest tender is from Dayton & Knight at the tendered cost of $68,163. Dayton & Knight have provided engineering services to Port Coquitlam in the past for the Northeast Sector Drainage Study and the Penny Place Pump Station and the work has been satisfactory.
