TC: Mayor and Aldermen INTER OFFICE MEMO C O os DATE: December 7th, 1973 DEC 3 i FRG@4: R-A. Freeman, City Clerk Ce. RE: Zoning Amendment By-law No. 1290 - Dav Care This memo will be placed in the Agenda booklet under the heading "By-laws" and by the time this point in the Agenda is reached the Zoning Public Hearing being held in connection with the Day Care Zoning Amendment By~law No. 1290 will have been completed. Assuming that the Council is desirous of proceeding with the By-law we would suggest that third reading be given to the By-law in order that final reading can be given on December 17th (which will likely be the last’ Council meeting of the year) as we are hopeful of receiving the approval of the Ministers of Highways and Municipal Affairs during the coming week. : | Although the giving of third reading to a By-law on the same day that it is considered at a.Public Hearing is not the Council's normal procedure, it is not an unusual step for the Council to take when some time limit or time advantage will result. { Cte ; City Clerk
