IPM/A ~19- RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Consider recycling rubber mats from the ice arena for use under bleachers at ball diamonds. Mats could be place directly on ground or could be set with soil cement. Use of the mats was suggested by the park foreman. 2. Sections of astroturf could be placed temporarily under bleachers and picnic tables to prevent weed growth. SIE Te We te ta DYKES: “thistle growth (particularly Canada thistle, Cirsium arvense,) has been considered a problem on dykes due to complaints from adjacent landowners. Thisties tend to - grow in areas in response to soil disturbance. Thus, recent reconstruction of the dykes no doubt contri buted . to thistle growth. In the past, thistles have been treated with an herbicide. ‘This approach apparently has not been sufficient to permanently control these weeds. RECOMMENDATIONS: 1. Monitor all sections of dyke and write down location of significant thistle growth. vA tenet seemed TN mest an ct Mpc Aa ASEM MAID ALLEY er est reve Ha . vo A wie date gs Lhd ly me mete Abe ath
