SUBJECT: Sex Discrimination

RECOMMENDATION:

That the City of Port Coquitlam comply in every respect with
the Human Rights Code in regard to the use of public facili-
ties and, furthermore, that the Human Rights Branch be
informed of this decision,

2. Mrs. Burgess contacted me last week and askea me what the
Recreation Department could do about. her daughter not
being permitted to play in the Poco Minor Hockey Associa-
tion. I indicated to her that she should write to P.ClA.A.A.
and state her case. Furthermore, that if P.C.A.A.A. was
unable to resolve the problem that the Recreation Depart.
ment would look into .the situation.

The Secretary of P.C.A.A.A. indicated that the following
resolution was passed 1981 11 03:
