SPECIAL HEARING: The City Clerk, February lst, 1979 advised receipt of various items of correspondence respecting PoCo Billiards and Recreation located at lan 3022 Flint Street and stated that the City's Licence Inspector is recommending cancellation of the business licence for the above mentioned premise, Mr. R. Powers, of PoCo Billiards and Recreation was present and submitted a report to Council. Alderman Laking asked Mr. Power to clarify tue number of employees working in PoCo Billiards and Recreation and Mr. Power stated he had another person plus himself alternating. Alderman Keryluk stated the youths are gathering here and possibly a solution could be reached by Council working with the R.C.M.P. and the owner and he further stated that if the PoCo Billiards and Recreation was closed the youths would probably move to another area. He also stated that some of the items mentioned on the R.C.M.P. report would not specifically be related to the PoCo Billiards & Recreation. Alderman Keryluk stated there should be a trial period to allow time to look into this situation. Alderman Ranger stated a petition has been received from 38 residents Cn of the area and lists numerous complaints regarding disturbances in the immediate area. Alderman Traboulay stated in his opinion some of the complaints listed on the R.C.M.P. report were not due to PoCo Billiards and Recreation. Alderman Traboulay and asked Mr. Power to clarify how he governs the age limit restriction and Mr. Power stated the participants must show their I.D., usually a driver's licence. Alderman Traboulay asked for clarification on the pinball machines and whether they were necessary as they seemed to cause some problems. Mr. Power stated the pinball machines brought in quite a bit of the money required to meet expenses. Alderman Traboulay then suggested Mayor Campbell meet with the R.C.M.P. Committee and Mr. Power to lock into the problems. Alderman Mabbett asked Mr. Power if he lived in the area and Mr. Power replied he did not, but would be moving his business in the Summer so he would be closer to his home in Pelta. Alderman Wright asked for clarification of the closing hour of che PoCo Billiards & Recreation and Mr. Power stated dt closed at 11:00 p.m. Alderman Wright then asked whether there was any security in the apartment block and Mr. Power stated it was locked,
