A Draft reply is attached for Council's comments. ‘ Wr. S.E.C. Fancy City of Vancouver Economic Development Office Dear Sir: Re: Vancouver International Airport : Thank you for your letter of October 3rd, 1978 enclosing a copy of the Vancouver City Planning Commission's letter expressing their concerns about the future of Vancouver International Airporce. Our Council shares the concerns of the Vancouver City Planning Commission and agrees that the Vancouver International Airport is significant to business and economic development in the Greater Vancouver area. It is important that the Federal Government clearly state its policies with respect to the development of this facility and the control of carriers that make use of the facility. : Although we de not have any specific concerns at this time, the City would recommend pursuing these policy questions with the Federal Government and would support any action taken that would biing about the expansion and increased utilization of this Airport. Yours very truly, L.D. Pollock City Administrator
