From the City Administrator, September 7th, 1978 advising of the Municipal Finance (Officers Association Conference to be held in Vancouver on October 25th, to 27th, 1978 and recommending that Jim Maitland, the City Treasurer attend and that his registration and necessary expenses incurred therewith be paid by the City. Gollywog Teen Disco for Council's information; and that a draft by-law to regulate the operation of discotheques is ready for Council's perusal. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the draft by-law proposed to regulate the operation of discotheques be referred to the Environmental Protection Committee for study. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution a brief discussion ensued, From the Senior Building Inspector, September 8th, 1978 advising that the owner of 1939 Coquitlam Avenue, Mr. James Bay, has secured the building to some extent, e.g. the door is secured and the windows are being replaced; and further advised in his memo of September llth, 1978 that the structure does not meet the current Zoning By-law requirements and that without Major renovations the useful life of the structures, dwelling and carport, is short. Mr. James Bay advised:'in a letter dated. September 8th, 1978 that he has completed the clean-up and has finished the fence on three sides of the yard.
