(B/laws 1369 «& 1370) / Law. brought fwd. 1969, No. 918, Amendment By-law, 1975, No. 1369" ana the "Land Use Contract No. 10 Authorization By-law, 1975, No. 1370", both concerning the proposed Greater Vancouver Housing Corporation project on Coast Meridian Road, were then brought forward from their listed positions on the Agenda for initial consideration at this time. B/law #1369-1st 3 readings Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918", Alderman Laking introduced a By-law to amend the "City of Port Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded bv Alderman Ranger: That By-law No. 1369 be read a first time. Carried. Wm.Casson,G.V.H.C. re Coast Meridian Road Housing discussion ensued, and Alderman Traboulay inquired of Mr. Wm. Development Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution, Casson, Director of the Housing Corporation, as to whether or not he had had any further word on provision of adequate school accommodation for the development contemplated. Mr. Casson stated there had been no further correspondence with the School Board other than the letter he had written previously and the reply received; however, he mentioned that he was not interested in producing a development that did not have the requisite community facilities. Alderman Mabbett referred to construction of the new Fire Hall in the North-east sector, and inquired when the access road off Coast Meridian would be developed. Mr. Casson Stated he did not know the date, but some initial clearing would be undertaken in May and basic servicing in September. Alderman Ranger stated he felt a presentation of the project should be made by the Developer, and Mr. Casson agreed ra speak to this later in the meeting.
