George was born on May 10, 1927 in Kelowna B.C. From there the family moved to McBride B.C. In his teens George left home to explore the working world, He worked mony odd jobs in McBride then moved fo Prince George ond worked at various mill jobs. This is where he got the sawmill bug. George moved to Burns Lake where he set up small bush mills in thot area before . moving on to work at the mill in the Babine Lakes District. The 1950's were a busy time for George. In 1955 George met and married his one and . ‘only one wife, Edno.1956 their first child, Wayne, arrived..the family moved to Macleod Lake where George worked at the mill and became the proud father of two more children Raymond ond Patsy. George moved to Terrace with the family in 1964, first working at mills in the area. Two more children, Donna ond Sandra, joined the family. George enjoyed taking his family on fishing trips, booting, mushroom picking, and ski- doing. The 1970's brought technology 10 George. CB. rodios became a fixture in the Blighton home and vehicles, next come the Homm and finally the computer. George worked for B.C. Hydro for many years before retiring in 1992. After retirement George became an avid Hamm Radio operator as well as o computer fanatic. George is survived by Edna, his loving wife of filty years, his children: Wayne( Donna) of Terrace, Raymond( Leona)ef Terrace, Patsy of Kitimat, Donna{ Doug) of Abbotsford and Sondra (Greg)of Conoe B.C, 12 Grandchildren, Cloyten, Crystol, Bonnie, Mathias, Shawn, Tayo Cody, Eric, Jesse, Catlyan, Ashley, Alexis, 6 great grandchildren and siblings Daris, Elsie, Ruth, Gladys, Wilma, & Louis os well as many nieces and nephews. Phil died doing one of the things he loved most - curling. Originally from Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Frances and the late Harold Clattenburg. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Judy, his mother Frances, and his children, Troy and Cindy, sisters Dianne and Linda, brother Howard, several nieces and nephews and many friends whose. hearts and lives he touched. He wilt also be missed by his beloved cat Whiskers. Phil worked as a lineman most of his life and was well travelled with his job in both Canada and the U.S. He had been employed with B.C? Hydro since 1990 working in Duncan, on Vancouver Island, and Masset, Queen Charlotte Islands before settling in Terrace. He was a member of the IBEW for over 30 years. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for 24 years. Phil will always be remembered for his larger than life personality. He was a big man with a big heart.
