unlock the doors to art

If you've ever wanted to gain a
better appreciation of the arts,
now is the time to get involved
with the Terrace Art Association.

The association, which operates
the art gallery, is starting two new
programs this fall —- noon-hour
videos and workshops.

The video series will run Wed-
nesdays at noon, and are from Dr.
Kenneth Clark’s “Civilization

Series”! developed by the BBC.

Anyone interested can drop by
the gallery at noon on Wednesday
with lunch in hand, take in the
video, view the current show, and
meet other people interested in
visual arts.

The video lineup is: Oct. 14 -
The Fallacies of Hope (19th
century, Monet, Cezanne, Van
Gogh, Gauguin); Oct. 21 - The
Worship of Nature (18th
century, Rousseau, Turner, Con-
stable); Oct, 28 - The Light Ex-
perience (17-18th — century,
Netherlands); Nov. 4- Man, The
Measure of All Things (Italian
Renaissance); Nov. 18 - Gran-
deur and Obedience (Baroque:
Titian, Rubens, Bernini).

Local artists Edward Epp and
Joanne Thomson are also present-
ing a series of fall workshops at
the gallery.
