The development partnership of the Kwayhquitlum Nation and Loong Keng Lim et al ("the partnership") is seeking approval for a temporary access road to the Coquitlam Reserve No. 2 to be used by the partnership's onstruction contractor - Bel Construction Ltd. The purpose of this Access Road will be to allow Bel Construction to start placing fill on the Nation's property to allow for the first stage of the overall development of the Lands. The first stage of the development will ba to construct a full service Golf Driving Range/Clubhouse facility. The overall development plan for the Nation's Lands is at a very preliminary stage. Consideration is being given to 4a Mobile Home Park and a 100 Lot Subdivision for Band Housing. Preliminary concept drawings show proposed permanent access roads and service corridors. A servicing agreemenc will have to be reached between the Nation and the City of Port Coquitlam, when a definite development plan is prepared. The temporary Access Road will allow truck traffic easy access to the site. with the least impact on the surrounding residents, Proposed Accesa Road (Figure T) The proposed Access Road will allow trucks to head west on Nacht Avenue, then north on the proposed Shaughnessy alignment and west on the proposed right-of-way onto the Reserve.
