Recently I had the opportunity to speak to a former Treasurer of
one of the Larper cities in 3.C.; during our discussions he mentioned municipal
banking and said they had recently solicited bids from all the banks in the

area and had fortunately found there was competition between the banks.

Personally, I can see no difference between calling bids on banking than call~

ing bids for road pavine.

I would like to move that the Finance Committee make a study on

the subject of banking and if deemed advisable, solicit bids from all the banks

in our area.
