In spite of the externally induceca restraints placed upon
this community we fared very wett in terms of services
provided, utitization and maintenance of staff and the very

tight budgeting with no increase in Taxes.

! chaired Parks and Recreation In 1984 along with Bill
Stewart, Mike Farnworth and Janna Taytor (Rec Director) forming
the Committee. i wish to extend my thanks to each of the

Committee members who contributed so much to make recreation In

1984 the success That it was and especialiy to Janna who kept

us on track (anda also within budget | might aad). Before

nighiightT some of tne parks and recreation activities, |! wish

to recognize Bili Hyde, President of P.C.AsAsAz Bill and his

hard working executive and ai! member sports groups in PoCo are

tne unsung heroes in that, without pay or recognition, they
help ensure that a fult recreation program Is maintained for

our chilaren. (Bilt, stand and be recognizeda!).

- generally speaking, recreation programming was retained at

1983 levels.
