RECOMMENDATION: That this bylaw be advanced to Fourth
Reading. ’

BACKGROUND/COMMENTS:

THis rezoning from RS=I| to M-3 was submitted to bring an
existing non-conforming building into conformance with the
Zoning Bylaw. City Council, in considering the rezoning
application, expressed concern about the amount of parking
being provided and requested that aspect of the proposal be
given. further study.

Contact with the applicants! was lost until recentty, when they
were informed of the’ concerns. They have investigated remedia!
parking arrangements and have prepared a scheme that provides
double the parking requirements. © As this parking scheme meets
the concerns raised by City Council the rezoning bylaw is belng
brought forward for its fourth reading. _
